Hazra Imran is a postdoctoral fellow at Athabasca University in Canada, funded by Mitacs Elevate Postdoctoral fellowship program. Before, she worked as a faculty member of Computer Science at Pace Canada College, BC. She has previously worked as an Assistant Professor (Computer Science) at Hamdard University, New Delhi, India. She has more than 07 years of teaching experience at University level. Hazra obtained her Ph.D. from the School of Computers and System Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), India. She has a Master’s degree in Computer Science (M.Tech), a Bachelor degree in Information Technology (BIT) and underwent through courses from IIT – Delhi, IIT – Chennai and IBM. Her research mainly focuses on advanced Adaptivity and Personalization, Collaborative Recommendation and Personalized Web Based Learning Systems.
She has published 16 high quality research papers in International Journals and Conferences of which one conference paper was awarded with the best paper award.
Hazra serves as program committee member of International Workshop on Social and Personal Computing for Web-Supported Learning Communities (SPeL) and as a reviewer for journals and conferences including World of Computer Science and Information Technology Journal (WCSIT), International Journal of Computer Science and Information Security, European Conference on Technology Enhanced Learning(EC-TEL), International Conference in Informatics and Applications(ICIA) and International Joint Conferences on Computer, Information, and Systems Sciences, and Engineering(CISSE).
